This book is the product of a lifetime John Sharp spent around horses. John was born in Oklahoma in 1914. His family moved to Stephen County by covered wagon before he was a year old. It was there that he grew up, helping his father on various farms. His first eight years of school were completed in country schools, where he walked when forced but usually made his way to school astride a donkey or horse. In later years John moved to Paulina Oregon where he lived out his life, working his ranch, training horses, and teaching horsemanship.
